Site Description

Approaching the two platformed station, there are facing and trailing crossovers and the line crosses a stream before entering the station. The station building, which is no longer in public use, is on the Down side, beyond which is the extensive car park. The double line extends beyond the platforms, under two overbridges built as part of the M3 motorway junction, to end in two headshunts. North of here, the motorway occupies part of the original alignment of the line. This will complicate the proposed extension of the line to Navan. The Up platform sees little use with most trains using the Down platform. There is an elevated section on the former.
